Louie Walsh drives Lloyd to tears

It seems Louis Walsh's criticism of Lloyd Daniels last weekend hit the you Welsh hard. Today's Newspapers report that he told producers 'I'm going, I can’t carry on' backstage at the studios in Wembley, North London.

The outburst came after Walsh angered Cheryl Cole following Sunday night's results show when he said he was shocked that the young singer was not in the bottom two acts, adding: 'I can't believe Lloyd is still here.'

Walsh said he was surprised that it was not Lloyd, who Cole has been mentoring on the show, competing with Jedward to stay in the competition - instead of popular Olly Murs.

Speaking on ITV2 spin-off show, The Xtra Factor, Walsh said: 'I thought it would have been Lloyd in the bottom two because he's been there, like, three times. Olly did not deserve to be in the bottom two.'

Lloyds Mum says Simon Cowell is Welsh-ist

Lloyd Daniels' mother has spoken out against Simon Cowell saying: “He’s got it in for the Welsh.”

Lisa Daniels speaking to the Echo newspaper revealed she would give the show supremo a piece of her mind after he branded her son a “a puppy taking part in the Grand National”.

Lisa, 41, said: “I had a feeling that Lloyd would be in the bottom two, not because he didn’t do a good performance on Saturday, but Simon’s words, I thought, would have swayed the public, saying he was like a puppy trying to run in the Grand National.

“I think Simon is being a bit silly myself because last week Lloyd did really well. He is starting to show himself.

“But there is never any positive stuff from Simon.”

The mum of three, from Treharris, near Merthyr Tydfil, has not had the chance to have a word with the controversial judge.

She said: “We’ve not even met Cheryl, so I can’t see myself meeting Simon.

“But I would ask him what he’s up to. He praises other contestants when they shine but he has always got something sarcastic to say to my 16-year-old boy. I would like to give him a piece of my mind.

“I would like to ask him whether he has got anything against the Welsh. Lucie was a strong contestant and he should have said nicer things to her, but he didn’t.”

Lloyd's home town celebrates as Lloyd escapes X-Factor Exit

Jubilation broke our across Treharris, Wales this weekend as Lloyd Daniels miraculously escaped eviction from the X-Factor this weekend.

Lloyd's hometown has been solidly behind him over the duration of the show and their relief at his escaping being sent off the show was evident in the celebrations.

Lloyd was in the bottom two for the second time on the show. This weekend he and Jamie "Afro" Archer found themselves fighting for survival in the sing-off. The Judges were unable to agree on who to save, and the decision went to 'deadlock' where Jamie who polled the least number of votes was sent home.

Lloyd's family had urged the whole of Wales to get behind the teenager after the controversy of the past week.

His mum Lisa who travels every week from Treharris to Wembly where the live shows are filmed said Lloyd would love to remain in the competition. “We are all so proud of him,” she said.

Lloyd Daniels misse best-mate Lucie Jones

It seems the two Welsh contestants on the X-Factor Lloyd Daniels and Lucie Jones formed a strong bond while on the show.

In a recent interview Lloyd revealed how much he missed Lucie. "I really miss Lucie, I was absolutely gutted when she went, I was really shocked when she went, because I thought she was the strongest. It shows that you have to vote for the people that you like, so please do - it means so much to us.

"I was shocked that she went. I didn't know to do when she left because she was probably my best friend in the house after Rikki [Loney] went."

It had also revealed that Lloyd's Mum had been voting for BOTH Lloyd and Lucie. She said : "I was amazed when Lucie went. We voted for her and Lloyd every week because they're our favourites and both Welsh. Lucie didn't deserve to go."

This Week is the Queen themed week and Lloyd is excited about it and has said "I think this week coming up is my favourite theme. It's going to be great - absolutely amazing. My choreography is quite mad, so I hope you all enjoy it."

Lloyd Daniels is home-sick !

Seems the weeks away from Wales is taking its toll on Lloyd Daniels. Reports this week say Lloyd has begged his Mum to bring his favourite blankets from Wales to the shared X Factor house in London - as he has been finding it difficult to sleep in strange surroundings.

His Mum told Newspapers that with his favourite 'blankies' he is struggling to get any sleep.

She said "He finds it really difficult to get off to sleep normally.

"But in the house he only has a single duvet and, with late nights after shows at the weekend, he finds it hard to unwind. But now he can relax with his own duvet - he can wrap himself up like a sausage roll!

"At home, he usually watches a DVD to get off to sleep, and sometimes even falls asleep on the settee. I think it's a Welsh boy thing."

lloyd beats illness scare and will sing this week.

For a while it looked like the a sore throat would keep Lloyd out of this week's live show. A disaster for his teeming teenage fans, but to be honest a bit of relief for music lovers everywhere as his performance to date has left a lot to be desired.

However teenagers rejoice, music lovers despair, Lloyd looks like he is on the mend. Lloyd’s mum Lisa said it had looked touch and go whether he would be fit to compete in this Saturday’s heat after being taken to see the doctor on Tuesday, but said her son is determined to take part.

She said: “He’s supposed to rest his voice but I can see him panicking and practising songs in his room and making his throat worse.

“In a way I think we’d prefer him not to sing on Saturday so he can get better.

“He’s feeling low at the moment but if he sings this week, I want him to go out there and prove what he can do so he can get his dignity back.

“We want to thank everyone for their support.”

Last week Lloyd landed in the bottom two with Rachel Adedeji and even though he was completely out-sung he survived but is keen to prove himself again.

His mum said “He came to me afterwards and he was a bit weepy. A caller had rung into the Xtra Factor and asked him if he thought he was getting by on his looks. That really upset him.”

Lloyd Daniels fancies Lucie Jones...

It seems Lloyd and Lucie may have a quite a bit in common, both are Welsh and both are from small sleepy villages in Wales (Lloyd is from Treharris, Merthyr while Lucie is from Pentyrch on the outskirts of Cardiff).

Now it looks like they may have bit more in common as Lloyd's mother reveals that her son has a big crush on Lucie.

Lloyd who spilt from his girlfriend Molly at the start of the X-Factor so he can concentrate on the show was seemingly had a change of heart.

Lisa Daniels, 41, told the News of the World: ‘When he first met Lucie in the early stages of the competition, he said to me ‘mum, I’ve just met the most beautiful girl from Cardiff’.

This is is the second potential X-Factor relationship as we had earlier reports fellow Essex-ers Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs may have a thing for each other.

Ten Things about Lloyd Daniels

From a series in the Daily Mirror, ten things you might not know about Lloyd.

1. At his first audition Daniels made a hash of his chosen song Jason Mraz - I'm Yours, but was offered a lifeline, first by Cheryl Cole then by Simon Cowell. Check out the audition below.

2. Aged 11 Daniels nearly died of kidney failure when he lost four stone in a fortnight. He dropped from eight stone to just under four after his kidneys stopped working. “The weight was falling off me to the point where I was skin and bones,” he said.

3. At the start of the competition he was 14/1 with ToteSport to win the competition outright, and 7/4 with Paddy Power and betfair.com to triumph in the ‘boys’ category.

4. Since getting through to the final 12 Daniels has been out and about on the celebrity circuit, hanging out with the Stars.

5. Former X Factor contestant Niki Evans has backed Lloyd Daniels to win this year’s series outright. “There was a young lad who came on and at first he was too nervous, but then he started singing and I thought, ‘God, he’s good’,” Evans told Digital Spy. “His name was Lloyd and he had blonde hair. He has a real indie sound and he wasn't trying to sound like Boyz II Men or anyone else like that.”

6. Infamous celeb blogger Perez Hilton is not a fan. After defending Ethan Boroian after he was booted off X Factor in favour of Lloyd Daniels, he ranted: “Less talented people have made it through on American Idol - and won!!!!!! Any blind person, except Cheryl Cole, obviously, can see the talent this kid has. P.S. Lloyd sucks, Cheryl!”

7. Lloyd Daniels is not to be confused with the American basketball star of the same name.

8. Pop Idol winner Will Young helped Cheryl Cole pick the boys for the final 12 and gave the following assessment of Daniels: “I’m a bit worried about his age, whether he can cope.”

9. He’s got his own YouTube channel where you can watch such delights as all his auditions plus him chatting to Dermot O’Leary while wearing a fetching blue vest.

10. Daniels is very popular in his native Wales. The head teacher at his local school has this to say about him: “He’s got a great deal of charisma and a smashing voice.” Meanwhile, the owner of the local Treharris hairdresser Hairloom revealed that he got his nifty barnet in her shop. “We used to cut Lloyd’s hair. He’s a lovely lad and he’s got a brilliant voice. We didn’t even know he could sing though until we saw him on the X Factor. You could see he was pleased when he got Cheryl as a judge. I think she’s got a twinkle in her eye for him too.”

My Mates Are Jealous of Me - Lloyd Daniels

Lloyd Daniels has revealed that his mates are jealous that he get to hang out with Cheryl Cole. They would have not been too chuffed when he melted the hearts of millions by giving Cheryl Cole a shoulder to cry on, after Simon Cowell ahd given her a dressing down over her song choice for Lloyd during last week's X-Factor Diva week.

In a interview with the South Wales Echo, Lloyd who hails from Treharris, Merthyr said

“Cheryl is awesome, my friends are very jealous that she’s my mentor and I get to spend time with her.

“They keep asking me to get her autograph.

“Everything’s absolutely brilliant, like seriously amazing.

“It couldn’t get better than this.

“I think I’m coping really well with the pressure. I thought I’d be a lot worse but I’ve surprised myself. I’m just trying to put the nerves aside and go for it.”

and in a revelation that will please millions of teenage girls across the country he let it be known that he hasn't got a girlfriend,

“I just want to focus on my singing at the moment, that’s my priority, but I do love the attention from the ladies.

“It’s very flattering and everyone I’ve met so far has been really nice so I can’t complain.

“I practically get jumped on by girls every time I leave the house, it’s quite funny really.

“There’s no-one I’ve got my eye on just now, but watch this space.”

Don't worry about that Lloyd we will be watching the space...

Lloyd Daniels - Bleeding love?

Last week we asked whether Lloyd can get any worse. We honestly thought not, but shows how much we know.

This week he 'bravely' took on Bleeding Love made famous by former X-Factor winner Leona Lewis. We say bravely using it in the same sense as a Security Guard trying to hold back the crowd at the opening of a 75% discount sale at Primark would be brave.

You probably know we think Lloyd is abysmal but this weekend he demonstrated that there are still further depths to plumb. His rendition of Bleeding Love (Buy MP3 now) would probably be best described as Bleeding Pain cos that what it sounded like.

If you can bear it, here is the performance in its fully 'glory'.

We can't wait till next week...

Lloyd Daniels in the 1st Live show

We wondered if the fact that Lloyd Daniels had sung the same song by Jason Marz at the Auditions and Boot Camp was something we ought to be worried about. Well rest assured it was.

Come the first X-Factor live show he attempted something different, and it was err... different. Never heard Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River (Buy MP3 now) sung quite like this.

Fortunately he is a good looking boy so the teeny boppers were unconcerned by the details such as singing ability as they flooded the phone lines with votes for Lloyd. The good news though he can't get this bad again, can he?

Lloyd at Bootcamp with Cheryl Cole

Ok ealier I suggested that only one contestant from Wales was from a "small village in Wales" but I was wrong. It would now appear that Lloyd Daniels is also from a "small village in Wales".

Is everyone is Wales from asmall village? If so, who lives in Cardiff, Swansea and other towns in Wales, the mind boggles.

Back to the point of the post Lloyd sings the song at boot camp that gets him choosen, intriguingly it is the same song he sang at the auditions Jason Mraz - I'm Yours. Is that all he can sing?

Lloyd Daniels at his first X-Factor Audition

We have two unapologetically Welsh contestants at this years X-Factor Finals, one that's famously from a small village in Wales and then there's Lloyd.

Here he is wowing the Judges with his rendition of Jason Marz - I'm Yours (Buy MP3 now)

Another day, another X-Factor / Fast food story

This time it is Lloyd Daniels and Lucie Jones popping down to Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) for some chicken.

It makes you wonder if they are having any home prepared meals at all? At this rate we are in dager of the X-Factor transforming into some sort of fit club.

Given all the time they have on the hands, applying this to a spot of cooking may not go amiss...

Lloyd Daniels in X-Factor Bromance

The Sun has reported that a "Bromance" developed between Welsh finalist Lloyd Daniels and Ethan Boroain (describe somewhat unsuprisingly as a "US hunk ".

The report says straight pair have become "inseparable" after meeting at boot camp.

And just like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, fans have given the chums their own collective name - "Loythan".

But the lads' female fans were sent into a panic after Ethan began posting strange comments on his Twitter page about 16-year-old Lloyd.

Ethan, 19, talked about how soft his mate's face was and referred to "spooning" him in bed. He has even had to reassure fans that the pair are NOT gay.

Ethan set the record straight yesterday, posting: "Hi guys!! Just to clear the air, Lloyd and I do share a certain bromance, but we are both straight."

Ah..the dangers of uncontrolled "twitter-ing"
